Abstract
This study examines the complex dynamics of communication in the changing field of journalism influenced by the use of media. It specifically focuses on how thoughts and perceptions are expressed in this evolving landscape. Information and communication technologies significantly influence journalism by rapidly disseminating news, updates, and societal impacts. Utilizing critical discourse analysis, the study aims to reveal systematic language usages and uncover latent meanings beyond news texts. Focused on the 2023 Turkish Presidential Election, news texts from four prominent international newslets Al Jazeera, BBC, CNN, and Euronews are analyzed. The comprehensive analysis of international media coverage investigates the interplay of linguistic and thematic choices in shaping narratives. With a dual focus on macro and micro levels of discourse, the study uncovers diverse approaches among foreign media outlets. Each outlet adopts a distinctive thematic approach at the macro level, emphasizing key figures and sociopolitical contexts. Al Jazeera spotlights competition, BBC underscores post-election polarization, CNN focuses on Erdogan's victory, and Euronews provides insights into national challenges. Visual elements, like photographs, contribute significantly to framing events, offering nuanced political messaging. Micro-level analysis explores linguistic choices, syntax, and rhetoric, emphasizing the active voice to underscore leaders' agency. Deliberate use of the passive voice in presenting election results maintains a neutral tone. The way sentences are structured and the cause-and-effect connections help readers understand political developments by providing context. The study underscores the importance of media literacy in decoding political event representations, emphasizing the multifaceted complexities of media discourse.

Abstract
Bu çalışma, medya kullanımının etkisiyle değişen gazetecilik alanında iletişimin karmaşık dinamiklerini incelemektedir. Özellikle bu değişen ortamda düşünce ve algıların nasıl ifade edildiğine odaklanmaktadır. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri, haberleri, güncellemeleri ve toplumsal etkileri hızla yayarak gazeteciliği önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Eleştirel söylem analizini kullanan bu çalışma, sistematik dil kullanımlarını ortaya çıkarmayı ve haber metinlerinin ötesindeki örtük anlamları açığa çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. 2023 Türkiye Cumhurbaşkanlığı Seçimi'ne odaklanan çalışmada, uluslararası çapta önemli dört gazete kuruluşu olan Al Jazeera, BBC, CNN ve Euronews'ten haber metinleri analiz edilmektedir. Uluslararası medyadaki haberlerin kapsamlı analizi, anlatıların şekillenmesinde dilsel ve tematik seçimlerin karşılıklı etkileşimini incelemektedir. Söylemin makro ve mikro düzeylerine odaklanan çalışma, yabancı medya kuruluşları arasındaki farklı yaklaşımları ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Her yayın organı makro düzeyde kendine özgü bir tematik yaklaşım benimseyerek kilit figürleri ve sosyopolitik bağlamları vurgulamaktadır. El Cezire rekabeti öne çıkarırken, BBC seçim sonrası kutuplaşmanın altını çizmekte, CNN Erdoğan'ın zaferine odaklanmakta ve Euronews ulusal zorluklara dair içgörüler sunmaktadır. Fotoğraflar gibi görsel unsurlar, olayların çerçevelenmesine önemli ölçüde katkıda bulunmakta ve incelikli siyasi mesajlar vermektedir. Mikro düzeydeki analiz dilsel tercihleri, sözdizimini ve retoriği incelemekte, liderlerin etkinliğinin altını çizmek için etken yapı kullanımını vurgulamaktadır. Seçim sonuçlarının sunumunda edilgen yapının kasıtlı kullanımı tarafsız bir ton sağlamaktadır. Cümlelerin kuruluş biçimi ve neden-sonuç ilişkileri, okuyucuların siyasi gelişmeleri kavramalarına yardımcı olur, çünkü olayları daha iyi anlamalarını sağlamaktadır. Çalışma, medya söyleminin çok yönlü karmaşıklığını vurgulayarak, siyasi olay temsillerinin çözümlenmesinde medya okuryazarlığının öneminin altını çizmektedir.
