SPORCULARIN YENİ TİP KORONAVİRÜSE (COVİD-19) YAKALANMA KAYGISININ İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Toplumun her kesiminde olduğu gibi spor camiası içinde de yeni tip koronavirüs vakalarının görülmesi, sporcuların yeni tip koronavirüse yakalanma kaygısını arttırabilir. Buna göre çalışmanın amacı farklı branştaki sporcularının yeni tip koronavirüse yakalanma kaygısının incelenmesidir. Nicel modeldeki araştırmaya farklı spor branşlarından 424 sporcu (222 kadın, 202 erkek) gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada Demir ve Cicioğlu ve İlhan (2020)’ın geliştirildiği Sporcuların Yeni Tip Koronavirüse Yakalanma Kaygısı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Spearman korelasyon analizi ve Mann-Whitney U Testinden yararlanılmıştır. Ayrıca sporcuların bireysel kaygı puanı ile yaşları arasında pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde anlamlı ilişki bulunurken, sosyal kaygı puanı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Sporcuların yeni tip koronavirüse yakalanma kaygısı ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı farklılık saptanmamıştır. Takım ve bireysel branşlarda aktif spor yapan sporcuların yeni tip koronavirüse yakalanma kaygısının benzer düzeyde olduğu, branşa göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre araştırmaya katılan sporcuların kaygı düzeylerinin orta seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
