TELEVİZYONUN İZLEYİCİNİN ALGILAMALARI ÜZERİNDE YETİŞTİRME ROLÜ: BİNGÖL DEVLET HASTANESİNDE YAPILAN ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, televizyonun insanların sosyal gerçeklik kavramlaştırması ve dünya algılamasına
katkısı (yetiştirme rolü) ortaya konmuştur. Çalışma George Gerbner’ın geliştirdiği yetiştirme
kuramının önermeleri uyarıca gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yetiştirme kuramı kurumsal süreç çözümlemesi,
mesaj sistem çözümlemesi ve yetiştirme çözümlemesi bileşenlerinden oluşmaktadır. Mesaj sistem
için 16-20 Nisan 2018 tarihlerini kapsayan dönemdeAtv, Fox TV, Kanal D, Show TV, TRT 1 ve
TV8’de ana yayın kuşağında çözümleme yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerden hareketle yetiştirme
çözümlemesi için uygulanan ankette kullanılmak üzere önermeler geliştirilmiş ve sorular
hazırlanmıştır. Anket, 26-27 Temmuz 2018tarihlerinde Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde yer alan Bingöl
ilindeki Bingöl Devlet Hastanesinde olasılıklı örneklemeden basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle
oluşturulan 112’si kadın, 109’u erkek 221 kişilik bir araştırma grubuna uygulanmıştır. Yapılan yedi
test sonucunda televizyon izleme oranıyla günümüzde tehlikeli bir dünyada yaşamaktayız ve
günümüzde çoğu insan kendini güvende hissetmiyordur ifadelerine katılım derecesi arasında
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Bu iki teste ilişkin hipotezler dışında kalan
hipotezler kabul edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlara dayanarak, televizyonun insanların dünya algılaması ve
sosyal gerçeklik kavramlaştırması üzerinde rolü olduğu sonucuna vardık. Çalışmanın genelleme
özelliği bulunmamaktadır.
