Abstract

Çalışmamızın konusu enerji tüketimi ve ekonomik büyüme ilişkisidir. Temel amacımız; 1978 yılından bu yana birçok iktisatçının üzerinde araştırmalar yaptığıenerji tüketimi ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin hem teorik hem de ampirik çerçevede incelenmesidir. Enerji tüketimi ile büyüme ilişkisi önce toplulaştırılmışdenklemlerle incelenmişdaha sonra ayrıştırılmış denklemler kullanılarak birincil enerji tüketimini oluşturan kaynakların ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca ilk analizde 1996:01-2004:04 dönemine ait üçer aylık veriler; ikinci analizde ise 1980-2004 dönemi yıllık verileri kullanılarak zaman bakımından bir sınırlama getirilmiştir. Çalışmada “Enerji tüketimi ekonomik büyüme üzerinde pozitif etkiye sahiptir” hipotezi Sıradan En Küçük Kareler Yöntemiyle test edilmişve sonuçlara yer verilmiştir.
