Abstract

The usage areas of mobile devices are increasing and for students specifically, mobile
phones are becoming an inseparable part of their lives. For students of communication
faculty, mobile technologies are assumed not only as crucial components of their
personal lives but also significant tools for their future profession. Associated with
rapid improvement of the Internet and new communication tecnologies, mobile
devices transformed into mobile media tools which contain numerous features such
a camera, a voice recording device, an editing computer and etc., content generation
which used to require a high cost became feasable nowadays through a mobile
phone. The changing and transforming practice of news production also concieved
a new bussiness model called mobile journalism which can be conducted merely
with a mobile phone. In this context, instructing the proper usage of mobile phones
for new media and journalism education in communication faculties can provide an
opportunity for future communication professionals to include mobile technology
efficiently in their careers. This research analysed the practices of mobile journalism
experiences of the students from Mersin University Faculty of Communication within
the context of New Media and Journalism class.

İletişim Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Mobil Habercilik Deneyimi Üzerine Bir İnceleme: Mersin Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Örneği

Year 2019, Uluslararası Dijital Çağda İletişim Sempozyumu Özel Sayısı, 143 - 156, 11.02.2019

Abstract

Zira İnternet’in ve yeni iletişim teknolojilerinin
