Abstract

This article thoroughly examines the views of American philosopher John Searle on the concepts of intentionality and intention, which are among the most fundamental issues in the history of human thought. The concept of intention, as a fundamental concept for understanding the human mind and behavior, also facilitates the comprehension of language, social structure, and the concrete and abstract realities of this structure. Understanding this concept will offer valuable contributions to future research, especially in the field of communication sociology, for determining the boundaries of collective actions and analyzing social cooperation.
