Abstract
Başkent University Migration Research Centre (BUGAM), which was established on February 25, 2020,
has the serious responsibility and pride of undertaking a new activity such as publishing a journal, in
addition to the three meetings it has organized under the conditions of Covid-19 Pandemic.
The main purpose of our journal is to publish studies on immigration - asylum seekers, migrants or
refugees that vary according to the terminology they accept - made by different public or private
organizations and non-governmental organizations, both within and outside the academy. Systematic
and process-based studies on issues such as the health, education, working life, fundamental human
rights and freedoms, law, politics, culture, art, language and religious life-based problems of immigrants,
as well as immigration governance policies and border security at the country, regional or global level,
will be published twice in Turkish and English as a bilingual, peer-reviewed e-journal.
