GERONTOLOJİ LİSANS EĞİTİMİNDE VERİ ARAŞTIRMALARI YOLUYLA İSTATİSTİK ÖĞRETİMİ

Abstract

Yayımlanan ulusal ve uluslararası raporların ve bağımsız araştırmaların gösterdiği
üzere, yaşlı nüfusun toplam nüfus içindeki oranı hızla artmakta ve ortalama
yaşam süresi hemen her ülkede uzamaktadır. Verilere dayanan bu öngörüler,
gerontoloji disiplininin önemini arttırmıştır. Gerontoloji lisans eğitiminde
önemli bir yer tutan istatistik ve veri analizi öğretiminin kalitesinin
arttırılması adına, veri araştırmaları üzerinden istatistik eğitimi metodu
sunulmuştur. Bu makale, veri araştırmaları üzerinden istatistik öğretimi adı
verilen bir metodun, gerontoloji lisans eğitimi sırasında kullanılmasını ve
gerontoloji araştırmalarında kullanılmasını önermektedir.
