TRANSFORMATİON OF THE SOCİOLOGİCAL BODY: FROM THE BODIES OF MODERNITY TO THE BODIES OF THE FUTURE

Öz

Sociology laid the foundations of becoming an independent science at the end of the 19th century. Since then, everything related to human and society has become a subject of sociology. One of the most advanced of these subjects is undoubtedly the study of the body and the sociology of the body.
From the 1960s onwards, the body has been studied more and more by sociologists, and a sociological literature without the body would be lacking not only quantitatively but also qualitatively.
In order to cope with this literature, this study will first classify and evaluate bodies through the intersectional clusters that emerge in terms of the ways they are used: modern, baroque, gothic and futuristic.
In this way, the study will try to read the debates on capital-body-biocapital relationship, metaverse-virtualization-body relationship, posthuman and transhuman debates, which we are discussing more and more today, in a comparative way with the texts of the basic texts of sociology that try to use the body as a constitutive entity of modernity, and to address the current state of the body and what the contemporary world is trying to do with the body.

Öz

Sosyoloji 19. Yüzyılın sonunda müstakil bir bilim olmanın temellerini attı. O dönemden beri, insan ve toplumla ilgili herşey artık sosyolojinin konuları arasında. Bu konular arasında en gelişmiş olanlarından birisi şüphesiz ki beden ve beden sosyolojisi çalışmaları.
Sosyolojinin kurucu metinleri arasında çok da merkezi olmayan partiküler bir pozisyonu olan beden, 1960’lardan itibaren sosyologlar tarafından daha çok çalışıldı ve artık bedenin olmadığı bir sosyoloji literatürü yalnızca niceliksel değil, niteliksel olarak da büyük bir eksiklik içinde olacaktır.
Bu çalışma öncelikle bu literatür ile baş etmek için, bedenleri kullanım biçimleri itibariyle ortaya çıkan kesişim kümeleri üzerinden, modern, barok, gotik ve fütüristik olarak tasnif edip değerlendirecektir.
Böylelikle, çalışmada, günümüzde artık giderek daha fazla tartıştığımız, sermaye-beden biyokapital ilişkisi, metaverse-virtüelleşme-beden ilişkisi, posthuman ve transhuman tartışmaları; sosyolojinin temel metinlerinin, bedeni modernliğin kurucu bir entitesi olarak kullanmaya çalışan metinleri ile karşılaştırmalı bir şekilde okunmaya ve bedenin güncel durumu ile güncel dünyanın beden ile ne yapmaya çalıştığı ele alınmaya çalışılacaktır.
