Yeni Yerel Kültürel Kimliklerin TV Dizileri Üzerinden Gösterimi: Fırtına

Year 2007, Issue: 7, 173 - 192, 01.08.2007

Abstract

One of the consequences of globalization is the homogeneous of the cultures, what brings a transformation on the local cultural structures. "Glocalization" which means "meeting of global and local" constitues the cultural hybridization. While globalization makes the culture and identity similar, each region makes different adaptations among its own qualities. By the hypothesis that TV programmes are the mirror of social context, " Fırtına" is examined for determining the changes of cultural identities in Eastern Black Sea. As a conclusion of this article, local cultural identities can be transformed by the global culture's effects. Increasingly, the cultures and the identities resemble each other more and more under the effect of globalization.

Abstract

Year 2007, Issue: 7, 173 - 192, 01.08.2007
