Writing Rules

Turkish (for Turkish authors); keywords in Turkish; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments (optional); references; appendices (as appropriate). Table(s) and figure(s); figure captions will be inserted within the body of the article (“source line” should be included at the bottom of the table and/or figure and please use Times New Roman throughout your article, including tables and figure captions. Do not use bold typeset to emphasize).

Word Limits

 Please include a word count for your paper. A typical paper for this journal should be between 4500 and no more than 9000 words. This limit includes references, abstract, figures and/or tables, figure captions.

Author details

All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the on individual page as “Cover Page” and uploaded separately. ORCID IDs of the authors should be included on the cover page. One author will need to be identified as the corresponding author, with their email address. Authors’ affiliations are the affiliations where the research was conducted. If any of the named co-authors moves affiliation during the peer-review process, the new affiliation can be given as a footnote. Please note that no changes to affiliation can be made after your paper is accepted. 

Formatting requirements

Manuscripts submitted for publication should not exceed 20 pages including annexes and references. Manuscripts should be written in Word format using "Times New Roman" character. Works in A4 paper format, margins 2.5 cm should be prepared from inside page layout. Main headings should be 14pt bold, subheadings 12 pt bold, text 12 pt normal, line spacing 1.5 lines, paragraph spacing 6 pt, paragraphs 0.63 cm (.25 inch) inside.

 

The recess of the block quotations is 1.27 cm. (0.5 inch). Quotation marks cannot be used, and they must be enclosed in parentheses after the period. Block citations should be used for citations of three lines or more (Author Surname, publication date, page number should be added if any).

The manuscript should contain an abstract of maximum 250 words with at least 3 and at most 5 keywords. Abstracts should be written in 10 pt, italic, justified by using "Times New Roman" character. Turkish authors should include Turkish abstract of maximum 250 words with Turkish keywords if the manuscript is English. In addition, if the manuscript is in Turkish, Authors should include English abstract of maximum 250 words with English keywords.

In the submitted manuscripts, at least three, at most five jel codes (journal of economic literature) should be classified at two-digit level (eg. J11). Please refer to http://www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php for the jel classifications that should be selected according to the title of the article.

In the heading and section heading numbers of the submitted works, the numbers should be given from the introduction section and numbered in the decimal system (such as 1., 1.1., 1.1.1.).

Figures

Figures should be high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for color, at the correct size). Figures should be supplied in one of our preferred file formats are only JPEG or PNG.

Tables

Tables should present new information rather than duplicating what is in the text. Readers should be able to interpret the table without reference to the text. Please supply editable files.

Equations

References

In order to comply with the Chicago Manual of Style author-date system, references should be written in alphabetical order, single line spacing and 10 pt.
