Peer Review Process

Kastamonu Journal of Communication Studies uses a blind peer review system. Blind review is a method employed to make sure that manuscripts are published at the highest quality. This method is fundamental to the objective review of research studies and is preferred by many scientific journals.

Manuscripts submitted to the Kastamonu Journal of Communication Studies are first reviewed for compatibility with the journal's publication scope by the editorial board and editors. Studies found suitable for the scope of the journal publication are forwarded to the spelling and language editor for review in terms of spelling and language compliance with journal writing guidelines. The spelling and language editor forwards the studies that are deemed to comply with the journal’s writing principles to the field editor, who then forwards them to two reviewers who are experts in their respective fields. The identities of the study's authors and reviewers are concealed following the double-blind procedure. "KİAD Article Evaluation Form" is employed in the evaluation process. The editor conveys the editor's decision to the author regarding the relevant article based on the reviewers' decisions, suggestions, and comments. If the editor deems it essential, the papers can be referred to a third reviewer.

The editorial board makes the final decision on the publication of the articles under the editorial decision.
