Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

PEER REVIEW PROCESS (YAYIN DEĞERLENDİRME SÜRECİ)

In the articles to be sent; It is required to be an original article that will fill a gap in the field or to be a review that evaluates previously published studies and presents new and remarkable views on this subject.
• The Editorial Board examines the articles submitted to the journal primarily in terms of publication principles and scope, scientific content and form.
• Manuscripts sent to our journal are first reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of compliance with journal principles. The works found suitable are transferred to the spelling and language editors by the editor. The work is returned to the author for corrections if necessary with spelling and language compatibility. The author edits and resubmits his work. The editor forwards the work to the field editor. The field editor sends the work to two referees in the first place. According to the referee's returns, a third referee is invited to the article depending on the need. The work that receives at least two positive referee evaluations (after adjustments according to referee comments) is published with the final decision of the Editorial Board. The whole process proceeds under the control of the editor-in-chief. The maximum evaluation period of a study was rated as three months.
• Articles submitted for publication are also confirmed by a special program used in plagiarism detection, that the articles have not been published before and do not contain plagiarism.
• Authors submitting articles to Social Health are deemed to have declared that they have not violated ethics.

EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES (YAYIN İLKELERİ)
• Journal of Social Health aims to contribute to the knowledge in the field by publishing internationally scientific studies in the fields of sociology, social work, psychology and social welfare.
• Journal of Social Health is an international peer-reviewed journal published twice a year.
• The referees of the journal are determined among experts in their fields in accordance with the content of the article. The referee board of each issue consists of referees in the Journal of Social Health, including the previous issues, and the referee list is published (collectively).
• Journal of Social Health undertakes to comply with the ethical rules such as honesty, openness, respect and reference to the ideas and findings of other researchers, citations being in compliance with ethical and scientific principles, objectivity and complying with the current laws and regulations regarding the research conducted.
• Manuscripts sent to the journal are sent to the referees if the editorial board (the editor and his assistants) decides that the relevant article meets the publication conditions of the journal.
• In the determination of the referees, the editorial board and the member of the editorial board related to the field act jointly. The submission of the manuscript to the determined referees, the follow-up of the referee reports, the control of the corrected manuscripts are carried out jointly by the assistant editor in the field to which the manuscript belongs and the relevant member of the editorial board on behalf of the editor.
• Editors and assistant editors are natural members of the editorial board.
• Studies sent to the journal are sent to two referees in the relevant field. The referees report their scientific and technical evaluation based on objectivity to the editorial board with the "Referee Evaluation Report". For the publication of the studies that meet the publication conditions of the journal, the positive report of two referees is required. If one of the two referees makes a negative evaluation, the study is sent to a third referee. If the third referee's report is positive, the study is published, otherwise it cannot be published. The Editorial Board decides in line with the final evaluation of the referee(s). Since the "double blind method" is applied during the evaluation of the manuscripts, the author(s) do not know by whom the study was evaluated, and the referees do not know who(s) the study they evaluated belongs to.
• The working and correspondence language in the journal is Turkish. Studies in other languages are treated like other articles by the decision of the Editorial Board.
• Studies sent to the journal will be published under the headings of “Research Paper”, “Compilation Article”, “Introduction and Evaluations” and “Translations”.
• The articles to be accepted to the journal must first be original studies prepared using research methods suitable for their field. Review articles are also accepted. Studies should not have been published elsewhere or should not be under evaluation for publication. If the articles are presented as a paper in any congress, symposium or meeting in advance, provided that the place and date are specified; If it is prepared using the thesis or printed books, it can be published if deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board, provided that the source used is mentioned. In addition, translations that contribute to the scientific field, book reviews and letters to the editor can also be published. All publication rights of the studies deemed suitable for publication belong to the Journal of Social Health. The responsibility of the published articles in terms of scientific content, law and language belongs to the authors.
• The follow-up and evaluation process of the articles sent to the journal is maximum 3 (three) months.
• No royalties are paid to authors for published articles.
• Journal of Social Health has adopted an open access policy.
• In order to submit an article, the steps must be followed by clicking the "Submit Article" button at https://www.eksenstitu.org.tr/socialsaglik/.
• While following the steps for article submission, the "Writing Rules" must be followed. Articles that do not reach the editor in the desired format will not be evaluated.

Publication and Evaluation Fee
• The Journal of Social Health does not charge any fee from the authors for the article evaluation and publication process.
Copyright
• The copyright of the articles accepted to be published in the Journal of Social Health is deemed to have been transferred to the journal editor.
