Prof. Dr. Veysel BOZKURT

Born in Çankırı in 1962, Veysel Bozkurt completed his undergraduate education at Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1984. In 1985, Bozkurt started his academic life as a research assistant at Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations. In 1986, he received his master's degree with his thesis titled "Civil Bureaucracy in the Process of Social Change in Turkey: 1923-1960" and in 1991, he received his doctorate degree at Uludağ University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations with his doctoral thesis titled "The Attitude of Interest Groups, Political Parties and Public Opinion on the Concept of European Union".

In 1991, Bozkurt became an assistant professor at Uludağ University, Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Department of Management and Sociology of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, and was promoted to associate professor in 1994 and professor in 2000. He lectured as a researcher and lecturer at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy in 1988-1989; at the Faculty of Business Administration of the Turkish World Research Foundation in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1996; and at the Faculty of Business Administration of the Turkish World affiliated to the Kyrgyzstan Jalalalabad Kommersiyalık Institute in 1997. Prof. Dr. Veysel Bozkurt transferred to Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economic Sociology in 2010 and continues his professional life here.
