Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Similarity rate check

Journal of Language and Literature Studies applies internationally accepted principles on ethical situations, mistakes or renunciations. It is among the critical responsibilities of the editorial board to prevent the publication of scientific studies submitted to the journal from being discontinued. Any example of unethical behavior that can be observed in scientific studies is unacceptable. It has been declared by the authors that the content of scientific research sent to the journal was prepared by using original sources. In this context, the articles sent to the journal are accepted after passing through the plagiarism program. The similarity rate of the article sent to the journal should not be more than 10%.

Measures against ethical violations

Journal of Language and Literature Studies has adopted the basic principle of fulfilling its publishing responsibilities based on the "Code of Conduct for Journal Editors" (COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors). In line with this principle, the editorial board, referees and authors are obliged to comply with the procedures in the journal application and evaluation processes within the scope of ethical committees. Journal of Language and Literature Studies declares that any unethical work that includes ethical violations such as misuse of other people's work and conflict of interest is unacceptable and all legal rights are reserved.

The similarity rate of the candidate articles should be uploaded to the journal by the authors. In addition, the corresponding author has to declare that there is no plagiarism in the article by uploading the similarity rate statement file. Candidate articles are also examined by the journal secretariat for similarity with the plagiarism program. Articles exceeding the similarity rate determined by the journal are returned to the authors.

For the published articles, in case of any ethical complaint within 12 months, the editorial board examines the article. Documents related to the complaint should be sent to the editorial board of the journal via e-mail.

Journal of Language and Literature Studies' editorial board has taken one by one under the titles of referee and author responsibilities and scientific principles and stated the "Journal Editors' Code of Conduct" (COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors) under the title of publication ethics and abuse declaration.
