Social Representations of Women Managers in the Banking Sector

Year 2011, Issue: 15, 45 - 58, 01.08.2011

Abstract

Following the work of Moscovici, social representations have become an important issue after 1961. Individuals understand and interpret differently the situation that they get involved and do not behave similarly, as they are organized according to the representations. This research aims to analyze the social representations of women managers of the banking sector, an area of activity that is much more dominated by men in senior management. Whether women or men, the results do not show differences in representations significantly negative or positive. The difference is mainly qualitative, not quantitative.

Year 2011, Issue: 15, 45 - 58, 01.08.2011

Abstract

Year 2011, Issue: 15, 45 - 58, 01.08.2011
