FOCUS AND SCOPE 

Galatasaray University Journal of Communication (İleti-ş-im) is a scholarly peer-reviewed journal published biannually every June and December by Galatasaray University, Faculty of Communication.

The main purpose of the journal is to contribute to the communication sciences field by publishing new and authentic work from a variety of disciplinary perspectives with the solid theoretical background. İleti-ş-im features original academic essays dealing with a wide range of subjects related to communication sciences (radio, television, cinema, journalism, public relations, advertising, new media, etc.) in Turkish, English, and French, along with translations, book reviews, and conference papers.

This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics.

PEER REVIEW POLICY

Published articles in İleti-ş-im have all been subjected to rigorous peer review comprising initial editorial screening and double-blind refereeing by at least two referees.


INDEXING
First published in December 2004, İleti-ş-im is covered and indexed by TR Index (ULAKBIM) and EBSCO Communication & Mass Media Complete (CMMC).


OPEN ACCESS POLICY 

İleti-ş-im provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of "open access", according to which users have the right to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles".
